A social media tour around the magnificent scenery at South African wineries

Facebook and other social networks have let us stay connected with family and friends wherever they are in the world. Now more than ever businesses are using social media to keep in touch with their fans and customers, and wineries are no different.

Many of the producers whose wine we stock use social media and at Majestic we like to share their best pictures, videos and stories with you. Here’s a round up of some of their latest pictures posted online – they may make you want to go on a South African wine tour! You can’t blame our friends at De Morgenzon for showing off their beautiful estate in Stellenbosch. Wild flowers make anything look good…

Here’s a twitter ‘vine’ from their bottling plant too. They’re bottling the fab DMZ Chardonnay.

The gardens at the Rustenberg estate are perfect for a spot of croquet! Mind the pond. There is a shark under that cage apparently.

There’s a night time visitor to Vergelegen’s vineyard.

You can’t miss out on a tour around the Vergelegen cellar either – inside or out.

Click on the pictures and you’ll be taken to their Facebook pages where you can have more of a snoop round these amazing locations. Have you been to any amazing vineyards and wineries in South Africa? Tell us in the comments below.
