Majestic HQ has been a hive of activity these last few weeks. We’re positively abuzz with ideas, hangouts and forums about how we can make Majestic a better place for you to buy your wine.
Heading up the efforts has been the new Admiral of the Majestic fleet, Rowan Gormley. The financially-minded amongst you might have read about his first report to the City for our Full Year Financials this week, and you can find out more over on our investors website.
We’re road-testing lots of new things to make your experience even more enjoyable. One thing we’re pretty jazzed about is a trial we’re running for single bottle purchases – dropping the 6 bottle minimum requirement. The trial is running in 6 stores right now – Belgravia, Newcastle, Darlington, Northallerton, Durham and Hexham – and after some great initial feedback we’re going to roll it out to a further 17 to gather more intel. If you get our updates by e-mail, keep an eye on your inbox! If not, you can register online here.
We’ve been hearing some really positive feedback on the myMajestic app. If you haven’t yet downloaded it, it’s available on iOS and Google Play. We’d love you to give it a spin, so much so that there’s a £10 voucher tucked away in there for you to spend on wine – online or in-store as you prefer. If you have ideas about features you’d like to see, please get in touch here.
This weekend you can explore the wines of New Zealand in-store, starting with a spotlight tasting in all stores on Thursday. Check your local store here, and see what they have on the tasting counter for you to try!
Being utterly logical, our next Wine of the Week is a cracking Sauvignon Blanc from… Chile. El Viajero Sauvignon comes from Chile’s exceptional Leyda Valley, and is a lovely counterpoint to the gooseberry-bombs of New Zealand. You’ll be able to taste this in store from Friday, so look out on the blog here for more information about it here later in the week.
As always, we’d love to hear from you, so leave your comments below, or drop us an e-mail here! I’ll leave you with this brilliant video from Chronic Cellars, a brand new addition to our Californian range.
