Wimbledon fever has taken over the British Isles, and the team in Brentford Lock are no exception…
It’s time for Strawberries and Cream, Pimm’s and Murray to finally win Wimbledon!
Being Scottish, I have true faith that this year may be Murray’s year, however, I feel that we usually always say this at this time of year and it doesn’t necessarily come true. Nonetheless, I strongly feel that the nation has to get behind him once more and cheer him to a successful title win. In order to celebrate these two fantastic weeks of tennis (weather permitting of course) now is the time to stock up on cracking Fizz, wines and beers.
What we at Brentford Lock will be drinking during Wimbledon…
“I fancy starting with some bubbles, Louis Roederer NV is my first choice. I would then follow with some crisp and refreshing Rosé from Côtes de Provence. My favourite is the Château Sainte Marguerite. I fear it may be an expensive 2 weeks. However, Scotland rarely come close to winning anything so feel that it certainly has to be done.”
“For me it has to be Pimm’s and plenty of strawberries and cream. I’m actually going to see some tennis too, so plan on having a wee seat in the sun on Murray Mountain. If Murray wins then maybe share some of Suzy’s fizz!”
“I’ll be taking full advantage of our New Zealand deals. The Ned Sauvignon Blanc is such great value, rarely can such a good quality wine be found at such a good price. I’ll also be sampling the new vintage of Wither Hills Pinot Noir, a wine that I have always admired and is perfect for a sunny day!”
