Food and Wine MatchingThis weekend Saturday Kitchen had actress Claudie Blakley as their celebrity guest who’s luck came in as she was awarded her food heaven dish at the end of the show. James Martin and fellow chefs prepared Chicken and lemon tagine with herby tabbouleh and this was accompanied by Réserve Rouge, Côtes du Rhône, Perrin et Fils, France.

    Saw the GV on Sat Kitchen a couple of weeks ago and indeed bought some when I was over in UK recently- Beautiful wine with real character! Definitely worth a try with some of the spicey fish dishes that Jamie Oliver was cooking on Ch 4 last night for Hugh’s Fish Fight.
    We at Domaine Begude grafted 1/2 ha of GV a few years ago and produce a similar wine called “Exotique”- exotic and illegal- all good fun!
