“Viña Ardanza 2004: Best ‘value for money’ Spanish wine” – Wine Spectator, October 2013
Viña Ardanza offers the best value for money out of the fifteen ‘Top Wines’ selected from a review of more than 1,000 wines
Wine Spectator claims Viña Ardanza 2004 is the best value for money Spanish wine. Produced by La Rioja Alta, S.A., it came first in the fifteen ‘Top Wines’ category selected from a range of wines rated over 94 and 95 points from Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Toro and Priorat.
Viña Ardanza 2004 takes pride of place among Spain’s greatest wines. More than 1,000 Spanish wines were reviewed for the report ‘Spanish Stalwarts’, published in the October 15 2013 issue and written by Thomas Matthews, Executive Wine Editor and taster of the Wine Spectator magazine.
Wine Spectator highlights Viña Ardanza for the second month in a row. In September, its ‘Highly Recommended’ section featured only five wines from around the world and Viña Ardanza 2004 was one of them. With a score of 94 points, it stood out as the best value-for-money wine within that exclusive list.
“Cedar, tobacco and spice hints frame dried cherry, berry and vanilla notes in this silky red, which has a weightless intensity”
