Saint Clair
The Saint Clair Half Marathon. Toyed with the idea of running a half marathon? Down at Saint Clair there’s a half marathon around their vineyards. Bagpipes hoot from one vineyard, while a banjo and bongos play at another. Competitors can stop and savour delicious tasters along the way, including the refreshing sauvignon blanc gelato, while those intent on a fast time can just look forward to the free bottle of Saint Clair bubbles at the end. Vavasour
The team at Vavasour have just taken part in the new release Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc yacht race from Waikawa (Marlborough) to Wellington organised by the Waikawa Boating Club. 29 keelboats from boat clubs around New Zealand raced from Waikawa Marina in Marlborough to Wellington in celebration of the new release Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013. Each yacht will carried a case of new vintage 2013 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc across the Strait to Wellington. Chief winemaker Stu Marfell was on board the yacht Sequel II for Vavasour with their new wine.
Craggy Range
At the Giants vineyard in Craggy Range the team have been caring for thier vines as part of a team challenge. Not a bad backdrop! Warmer temperatures and minimal frosts mean the vines are around two weeks ahead of their growth cycle for the 2014 vintage.
Waimea
Exciting times for the team at Waimea. The extension of their winery continues! The second half of the new floor being laid down.
Nautilus
The Nautilus team have been at the Marlborough Wine Weekend this month. A showcase of the region’s very best wine, food and experiences here they are enjoing some of their very own Gruner Veltliner 2013.
