A simple Halloween biscuit recipe by Becky in our online team…
With an extra hour this weekend and Halloween round the corner, I thought I’d make some Halloween treats for the Ecommerce team. So, in what it possibly the smallest kitchen known to man, I channelled my inner Mary Berry and set to work.
Essentials – Halloween cutters
To start I added 100g of butter
Plus 80g of soft brown sugar
And creamed it until it looked like this
then in went the egg
followed by 360g of flour
as well as 4 tsp ground ginger, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda and finally 4 tbsp of golden syrup
After a bit of mixing, kneading and cutting I ended up with
And after 10 minutes of baking at 180deg c, I had ghosts, witches, bats and pumpkins galore.
So that’s how I spent the extra hour on Sunday. Knowing my colleagues these won’t last long, perhaps until elevenses on Monday if we’re lucky.
Here’s Becky with the few remaining biscuits at 11am
Thanks Becky, it’s not even midday yet and the tin is empty if that’s not endorsement enough!
