From Our Business, To Yours. A letter from CEO, John Colley, to Majestic Commercial Customers.

By Jack Merrylees

In light of the Coronavirus becoming increasingly prevalent in the UK, as CEO at Majestic, I wanted to share with you the actions we are taking to look after you, our Commercial customers, and our store teams.

We understand this is a deeply challenging time for the hospitality industry, and want to reassure you that in Majestic Commercial you have a partner that will be working hard to ensure that your business is supported as fully as possible. If you have concerns about cash flow, stock levels or credit please speak to your Key Account Manager.

Our stores are currently all open as usual, and our account team available to offer round the clock support as and when you need it. Right now we know your focus is on trying to weather out what is going to be an extremely difficult time, and wine supply is probably a long way down your priority list. But please be assured that Majestic Commercial is here to support you – wherever we can.

For our part, putting the safety of everyone connected with Majestic first and foremost is our number one priority. We are closely following the advice from the government, NHS and Public Health England to ensure we are putting the correct measures in place across the country.

These include:
– Asking all customers and staff to use the handwashing points we have created across our stores before handling any products
– Routinely using hand sanitisers and tissues which are now available in all 200 Majestic locations
– We have also issued a series of further hygiene and deep clean measures across all stores and warehouses
– We are working closely with our brilliant suppliers across the world to make sure we are adequately stocked with the wines, beers and spirits you expect from Majestic

And continuing to put our people first. Following government guidelines, we are asking that all staff stay at home the minute they experience any of the symptoms and suspending all in store tasting events and gatherings

We will continue to monitor what is an ever-changing situation and want to assure you we will take the necessary actions to continue to serve you and protect the health and wellbeing of our teams and customers alike.

We look forward to resuming our business as usual relationship, as soon as possible. And please know the thoughts and best wishes of everyone at Majestic is with you and your teams during this difficult time.

Thanks,
John Colley
