It’s amazing how many people are on twitter and social media talking about wine, so this week I’ve asked a few our fans and wine bloggers for a mini bio about themselves and some tasting notes of our #makeautumnred mixed case.
Grape Gurus: Majestic social media fans and wine bloggers
Favourite Wine: Pontet Canet or Chateau Musar
Wine memories: Touring Bdx in 2010 was wonderful or 1st bottle shared with my wife in Paris.
Make Autumn Red Mixed Case
Wine: Marques de Caceres, Crianza
Colour: Very dark, opaque wine but with some clarity at the edges showing the age.
Intensity: Quite a gentle nose, not at all strong.
Aromas: Raspberry Ruffle chocolates! Cherry and some herby notes.
Body: Lighter than expected but beautifully smooth and soft.
Tastes like: Cherries, dark chocolate and hints of vanilla from the oak.
Length: Quite short which was a little disappointing but not enough to distract from the flavour.
Moreishness: This wine is easy to drink, an excellent ‘everyday’ drinker.
Perfect food match? Hams and simple cold meats, roast dinners.
Film you’d drink this wine with? Something smooth like James Bond!
